The Music Zoo’s Tim Reynolds caught up with Charvel master builder Red Dave at the 2012 Charvel Showcase at NAMM over the weekend, where the two discussed a few amazing one-off guitars.

The axes feature vintage maple that came from some old logs that sat in a lake for years and was harvested by someone at a company called Yankee Veneer.

“He salvaged all this stuff, and now we’re making guitars out of it.  It’s just incredible stuff,” remarked Red Dave.
