Fusion guitarist Thomas Griggs puts the first-class appointments of the Charvel USA Select DK24 HH 2PT CM models on full display in a new video featuring his original Thomas Griggs Trio track “Emendation.”
Griggs riffs on the Seymour Duncan® Alnico II Pro APH-1N neck pickup before spicing up a jazz lick with the Seymour Duncan Custom Full Shred™ SH-10B bridge pickup, and then closes out the video with a solid scale run.
Offered in Oxblood and Satin White, these USA DK24 2PT models also offer a versatile control layout, including a five-way blade switch, two-way toggle (series/parallel) switch, Stratocaster®-style skirt knobs for the volume (with 500K EVH® Bourns® low-friction potentiometer) and no-load tone controls.
Aside from being easy on the eyes, the bolt-on caramelized maple neck with graphite reinforcement and 12”-16” compound radius caramelized maple fingerboard offers a reliable and comfortable fretting platform, with 24 stainless steel frets that won’t wear down no matter what heavy jamming you put them through.
These models also offer a scalloped lower back bout that works in tandem with the shredder cut heel to allow for easy upper fretboard access. Pearloid dot inlays adorn the fingerboard, while Luminlay® side dots light your way on the darkest of stages. Neck adjustments are seamless with a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel.
Other premium features of these USA Select DK24 HH 2PT CM models include a Graph Tech® TUSQ XL nut, Gotoh® Custom 510 recessed tremolo bridge with titanium saddles and thick brass block, USA-made Sperzel® locking tuners and chrome hardware.
