iGuitar Magazine recently reviewed two guitars from the Charvel Desolation Series – the DST-1 FR and the DX-1 ST.

Reviewer Tom Quayle had positive things to say about both axes, especially their playability and tone.

“These two Charvel guitars enter a very crowded and popular market with a lot of stiff competition from many brands aiming at the Metal player,” he wrote.  “But if you’re after a through-neck design with great hardware, great pickups and great playability, then I think these Charvel Desolations simply have to be checked out.”
