Decibel‘s Matt Olivo got his hands on a couple of Charvel axes, the DS-1 ST and DS-3 ST, and reviewed them in a recent issue of the magazine.
Olivo noticed that the DS-1 ST is built for speed right off the bat.
“Without exception, Charvel always designs guitars to be played fast,” said Olivo. This guitar is quite easy to shred on. Right out of the box, the low-action, 24 jumbo frets, compound radius fingerboard and slim profile neck beg you go shred!”
On the DS-3 ST, Olivo said that it offers similar playability as the DS-1 ST, and that it’s got features more suitable for beginner guitarists.
Olivo wrapped up by saying that Charvel is up there with “major guitar manufacturers who offer a wide range of quality guitars for players of all levels.”
